MARCH presents new Guest Professor Dr. Marie Enders in collaboration with RPTU Kaiserslautern

As part of a collaborative initiative by Prof. Dr. Markus Miessen (Cultures of Assembly, the Chair of the City of Esch at the University of Luxembourg) and Prof. Dr. Adria Daraban (Chair of Architecture – Theory – History at RPTU Kaiserslautern), the MARCH program at UniLu is happy to welcome our new Guest Professor Marie Enders, whose engagement with MARCH has been made possible by external funding of the University of the Greater Region/ Université de la Grande Région.
From November 24-26 Dr. Marie Enders taught a 3-day workshop on Encounters in the Greater Region at Cultures of Assembly in Esch-sur-Alzette for Master in Architecture students from University of Luxembourg and RPTU Kaiserslautern together with Dr. Adria Daraban.
Dr. Marie Enders is an urban researcher. After studying architecture at RWTH Aachen University and ETH Zurich, she worked at the UNESCO Chair for Cultural Heritage and Urban Development at RWTH Aachen University, conducting urban research and teaching at the intersection of cultural anthropology. In her doctoral project, "The Third Place as a Reference," she explores the relationship between space and intangible cultural heritage, aiming to illuminate the sites of lived everyday culture. Since 2024, she has headed the Intangible Cultural Heritage office at the German Commission for UNESCO, and since 2025, she has been a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Architecture – Theory – History at RPTU Kaiserslautern.
