Ivonne Weichold is a PhD candidate at University of Luxembourg. Her research explores the intersection between urban and rural areas, agricultural production and distribution from a city-region perspective. She studied architecture and art history at Technical University of Berlin and Delft University of Technology and graduated with a degree in architecture (Dipl.-Ing.) and art history / culture and technique (B.A.). Since 2010 she worked as a project architect for 51N4E in Brussels and Stéphane Beel Architects in Ghent as well as other architecture offices in Germany, the Netherlands and Japan. She was Research Associate at the Sustainable Urban Design Institute at Braunschweig University of Technology and holds a lectureship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg since 2015.
