Learning from Berlin

Florian Hertweck presents how Berlin’s open, polycentric and extremely heterogeneous character has influenced a wide range of urban models amongst which Ungers’ and Koolhaas’ Green Archipelago or more recently our concept of the Dialogic City. This lecture will summarize a selection of these models and of some paradigmatic projects, and show to what extend they might be fruitful for the contemporary production of architecture and urbanism.
