Benelux has the most intense infrastructure network in terms of mobility within Europe. And it has the most intense network of borderlines as well. If one superimposes one network on top of each other, one gets a picture of a rhizome-like territory where lots of borderline activities take place. Those are the result of an incredible amount of economic attractiveness and cultural melting pot filling entire pockets around centralised regions and big urban attractors. People in those regions are looking for the most attractive parts in each country. Herewith this territory reveals a new kind of citizenship, based on a shared economy, bouncing forth and back between competition and complementarity.
